Our opinion

Coinbase Logo
Coinbase
Coinbase is one of the most popular entry points for beginners entering the world of cryptocurrency—and for good reason. It has a unique way of simplifying this complex topic in a playful and accessible manner, making investing enjoyable and straightforward. However, this simplicity comes at a cost: its fees are on the higher side of the industry average and, in our view, somewhat expensive. That said, Coinbase Advanced provides a more advanced option for users who have outgrown the beginner-friendly interface. Overall, we mainly recommend Coinbase to newcomers who don’t mind paying a bit more in fees in exchange for using the easiest platform on the market.
Coinbase review
Bitstamp Logo
Bitstamp
Bitstamp is a veteran in the crypto scene, earning our trust mainly due to its long-standing presence. The provider also holds a payment institution license in the EU country Luxembourg. We consider Bitstamp a solid choice, though there are certainly more modern exchanges in the market offering a wider range of features, simpler usability, and sometimes lower fees. Nevertheless, Bitstamp’s long history makes it a reliable and secure trading platform in our view.

Bitstamp Logo
Bitstamp
Criticism focuses on the high fees for small trading volumes and mixed experiences with customer support. Some users also wish for a wider selection of altcoins and enhanced customizable features on the platform. Despite these critiques, Bitstamp is generally regarded as a reliable and user-friendly platform for cryptocurrency trading.
