Our opinion

Bitstamp Logo
Bitstamp
Bitstamp is a veteran in the crypto scene, earning our trust mainly due to its long-standing presence. The provider also holds a payment institution license in the EU country Luxembourg. We consider Bitstamp a solid choice, though there are certainly more modern exchanges in the market offering a wider range of features, simpler usability, and sometimes lower fees. Nevertheless, Bitstamp’s long history makes it a reliable and secure trading platform in our view.
Bitstamp review
OKX Logo
OKX
OKX stands out as a versatile crypto platform with a clear focus on active trading. The user interface is modern and well-designed, and the clever switch between “Simple” and “Exchange” views makes it accessible even for beginners. Traders benefit from a wide range of features as well as European MiCA regulation, which provides additional security and trust. However, customer service was a clear drawback in our test: direct contact with a support agent was not possible—only a chatbot that mostly refers to help articles was available. Our conclusion: OKX is well-suited for regular traders seeking a powerful, regulated platform. Those who only occasionally buy cryptocurrencies or place high value on personalized (German-speaking) customer support may find other providers more suitable.

Criticism focuses on the high fees for small trading volumes and mixed experiences with customer support. Some users also wish for a wider selection of altcoins and enhanced customizable features on the platform. Despite these critiques, Bitstamp is generally regarded as a reliable and user-friendly platform for cryptocurrency trading.
OKX Logo
OKX
OKX impresses with a strong overall package for crypto traders of all experience levels. The platform features a modern user interface, low trading fees, and an impressive range of functions—from classic trading instruments to Web3 features. Active users and altcoin enthusiasts, in particular, will find much to appreciate. However, there are critical voices, especially concerning support quality and handling of account suspensions. While OKX ranks high in security and innovation, as with all crypto platforms, users should carefully assess their own needs and approach risks with caution.
