Our opinion

Binance Logo
Binance
Binance is an excellent choice if having access to a wide range of tradable coins is your top priority – few exchanges offer a larger selection. However, costs for instant purchases are relatively high at around 2.5% spread, despite Binance charging no visible trading fees. For lower costs, users can switch to the spot market (starting at 0.1% maker/taker fees). The variety of features and trading options also comes with a downside: the platform can feel overwhelming at times and might be intimidating for beginners. Additionally, Binance's regulatory status varies by region, which could be a drawback for security-conscious users.
Binance review
Bitstamp Logo
Bitstamp
Bitstamp is a veteran in the crypto scene, earning our trust mainly due to its long-standing presence. The provider also holds a payment institution license in the EU country Luxembourg. We consider Bitstamp a solid choice, though there are certainly more modern exchanges in the market offering a wider range of features, simpler usability, and sometimes lower fees. Nevertheless, Bitstamp’s long history makes it a reliable and secure trading platform in our view.

Binance is valued by users as a powerful and versatile platform, especially among experienced crypto traders who praise the wide range of tradable cryptocurrencies and extensive features. The low transaction fees and the possibility to receive discounts by using Binance’s native cryptocurrency, BNB, are highlighted positively, although some users criticize the variable withdrawal fees. Regarding security, Binance generally enjoys user trust despite some reported security incidents. Customer support receives mixed reviews, with experiences ranging from quick and helpful responses to slow reply times and difficulties in problem resolution.
Bitstamp Logo
Bitstamp
Criticism focuses on the high fees for small trading volumes and mixed experiences with customer support. Some users also wish for a wider selection of altcoins and enhanced customizable features on the platform. Despite these critiques, Bitstamp is generally regarded as a reliable and user-friendly platform for cryptocurrency trading.
