Our opinion

Zengo Logo
Zengo
Zengo takes a novel and exciting approach with its “Keyless Wallet.” The wallet focuses entirely on beginner-friendliness and usability. Common pain points like recovery phrases (seed phrases), backups, and verification processes are avoided through a hybrid solution: instead of a private key, two so-called “secret shares” are created. One remains on Zengo’s servers, and the other is stored on the user’s mobile device. Zengo cannot access these stored values but can still restore a backup if lost. Verification is done via biometric facial recognition. This solution represents a major leap forward in usability, making Zengo especially recommended for beginners. However, crypto purists who want full control over their private keys should opt for a different wallet. Otherwise, we recommend Zengo and align with the positive user reviews.

Ledger Flex
Ledger has long been a leader in making hardware wallet setup as simple as possible. With the new Ledger Flex and its E-Ink touchscreen, we believe they have made another significant improvement. Especially for beginners, onboarding and setup are now even clearer thanks to the large E-Ink touchscreen. The device is also more customizable and can display NFTs. In our view, the Ledger Flex currently offers the best value. Although the Ledger Stax is the new premium model, we personally preferred the Flex, even though it costs less. The Ledger Flex feels great in the hand and feels solid and high-quality. For those who don’t necessarily need an E-Ink touchscreen, the Ledger Nano series is still a solid choice. The Ledger Flex is our personal favorite and has replaced the Nano X for us.

Ledger Flex
In summary, the Ledger Flex offers a premium design, high security standards, and user-friendly operation. It is particularly suitable for users who value sleek design and flexibility, but less so for those looking to manage many cryptocurrencies simultaneously. While the high price is seen as a drawback, the Ledger Flex overall impresses with its functionality and security.
