Our opinion

Ledger Nano X Logo
Ledger Nano X
Ledger has long been a trusted name in reliable and secure hardware wallets. The Ledger Nano X is the flagship product of their Nano series, featuring solid build quality, high security standards, and easy handling thanks to Bluetooth connectivity with smartphones. Its companion software, Ledger Live, allows users to buy and sell assets and supports connection to up to 100 apps. We are big fans of Ledger products, but for beginners, the Ledger Nano S is more than sufficient. However, those who value build quality and connectivity will find the Nano X to be the best choice. We use the Ledger Nano X ourselves and can wholeheartedly recommend it.
Ledger Nano X review
Trezor Model One Logo
Trezor Model One
The Trezor Model One offers a simple and secure entry point into self-custody of cryptocurrencies. While it has fewer features and lacks a color display compared to the premium “Model T,” it provides excellent value for beginners and budget-conscious users. A notable positive aspect is the manufacturer’s open-source philosophy, which is not always common in the wallet space and contributes significantly to the overall security of the wallet and its software. Overall, we can definitely recommend the Model One but would personally lean towards a comparable “Ledger Nano S” or a “Bitbox.” However, for those who want to stick with Trezor and are looking for an affordable, secure hardware wallet, the Model One is an excellent choice.
