Our opinion

Trezor Model T Logo
Trezor Model T
The Model T is an excellent hardware wallet, though it comes with a hefty price tag of nearly €300. For those willing to invest, it offers a high-quality, versatile device with an impressive color display. We see the color display as its biggest advantage and unique selling point compared to other manufacturers. The setup process is especially smooth for crypto beginners, as the software guides users step-by-step through the initial configuration. We personally fully recommend the Trezor hardware wallet but would lean more towards a Ledger or BitBox ourselves. The differences are often marginal, and in the end, it usually comes down to personal preference.
Trezor Model T review

Trezor Model One
The Trezor Model One offers a simple and secure entry point into self-custody of cryptocurrencies. While it has fewer features and lacks a color display compared to the premium “Model T,” it provides excellent value for beginners and budget-conscious users. A notable positive aspect is the manufacturer’s open-source philosophy, which is not always common in the wallet space and contributes significantly to the overall security of the wallet and its software. Overall, we can definitely recommend the Model One but would personally lean towards a comparable “Ledger Nano S” or a “Bitbox.” However, for those who want to stick with Trezor and are looking for an affordable, secure hardware wallet, the Model One is an excellent choice.
