World Liberty Financial has launched its USD1 stablecoin natively on the Canton Network, enabling institutional settlement of tokenized real-world asset transactions, including derivatives collateral and lending. The integration leverages Canton's privacy and permissioning controls for simultaneous settlement. USD1, with a market cap of about $4.05 billion and issued by BitGo Bank & Trust, is backed by U.S. Treasurys and dollar deposits. The move follows Canton's expansion into government benefits distribution, and comes as the network processes over $9 trillion in tokenized assets monthly.

Canton now hosts competing stablecoins, as Circle's USDCx was already integrated, offering institutional users a choice in settlement currency.

Interstice Digital, in partnership with FalconX, has launched a non-custodial cross-chain swap engine connecting the Canton Network to Ethereum, Solana, and the Robinhood Chain. The engine enables atomic swaps, allowing institutional users to trade tokenized assets across these blockchains without giving up custody. The Canton Network processes over $8 trillion in tokenized assets monthly, including daily US Treasury repo transactions exceeding $350 billion. The system bridges institutional markets with retail crypto trading, leveraging Robinhood Chain's high-speed Arbitrum-based layer 2. FalconX, a design partner in Canton's collateral management since mid-2025, provides the prime brokerage layer. This move represents an advancement in interoperability, avoiding wrapped tokens and ensuring trades settle fully or not at all.

Temple Digital Group has integrated its trading metrics with analytics platform Token Terminal, becoming the top revenue-generating application on the Canton Network. Temple operates as the first central limit order book exchange built natively on Canton, offering 24/7 institutional trading with non-custodial settlement for approved counterparties. It launched trading on January 8, 2026. The integration makes Temple's real-time performance data publicly accessible. The company has raised a $5 million seed round in October 2025, with additional investment from SBI Group. In May 2026, Kaiko integrated Temple's market data, including full order book information. Temple has no plans to launch its own token, focusing on privacy and compliance, and intends to expand into more regulated markets later in 2026.

SBI Holdings has restructured a wholly owned subsidiary into SBI Digital Practice to focus on the Canton Network, expanding its institutional blockchain strategy beyond Ripple and the XRP Ledger. The new unit will build financial infrastructure and applications for institutions, leveraging Canton's network of over 600 institutions and $6 trillion in assets. SBI retains full ownership and has been a Super Validator on the network. This move does not signal an exit from Ripple; SBI Ripple Asia continues its joint venture with Ripple. Instead, SBI is adopting a multichain approach, having recently partnered on Solana-based tokens and with Ondo Finance for tokenized Japanese equities. Digital Asset, the developer of the Canton blockchain network, has raised an additional $10 million from South Korea's Shinhan Financial Group and Standard Chartered's SC Ventures, increasing its recent funding round total to $365 million. The investment was made at the same $2 billion equity valuation as the previous round, according to a source familiar with the matter. Digital Asset initially announced the $355 million round last month, led by a16z crypto with participation from major institutions including ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, HSBC, and others. CEO Yuval Rooz said the new investors bring global reach and expertise to support regulated financial institutions using the Canton Network, a public Layer 1 blockchain designed for privacy, compliance, and control. Tradeweb has executed a real-time onchain transaction involving tokenized US Treasuries on the Canton Network. Franklin Templeton transferred a tokenized Treasury security to Virtu Financial in exchange for tokenized cash, with Tradeweb providing execution and price discovery. The trade settled in real time, marking the first such transaction settled against USDCx stablecoin. The transaction precedes the DTCC's planned launch of Tokenization Services later this year. Franklin Templeton continues expanding into tokenized assets, having recently partnered with Binance and Ondo Finance. Governments are also advancing tokenized bonds, with Hong Kong issuing its third digital bond and the UK launching a pilot with HSBC Orion.
