BTC is the most well-known unit of Bitcoin and is typically used for large transactions. For smaller amounts, there are sub-units such as millibitcoin (mBTC), bit (μBTC), and the smallest possible unit, the satoshi (sat). Bitcoin (BTC): BTC is the base unit of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. When people refer to "Bitcoin", they usually mean this unit.
Millibitcoin (mBTC): One millibitcoin equals 0.001 BTC – one thousandth of a bitcoin.
