Our opinion

For users already using Coinbase as an exchange, the Coinbase Wallet is certainly a great option, as the app can be linked to the exchange account if desired. Even for users of other exchanges, Coinbase Wallet is a very good solution, especially for beginners. The app is intuitive, clear, and well-designed. Coinbase also offers a browser extension that provides easy access to Web3 applications. On the downside, customer support is sporadic—similar to the Coinbase exchange—which often leads to frustration among some users. Nevertheless, we recommend the Coinbase software wallet, particularly for beginners.
Coinbase Wallet review
Infinity Wallet Logo
Infinity Wallet
We find that Infinity Wallet offers one of the most attractive and user-friendly interfaces on the market. Its range of features and seamless integration with Web3 applications and decentralized finance are also strong positives. However, compared to other providers, the wallet is still relatively unknown, and the company (team) behind it appears quite anonymous. We’re not entirely comfortable with this and therefore cannot give an unconditional recommendation. Ultimately, software wallets carry significantly higher risks than hardware wallets due to their direct connection to internet-enabled devices, which can be potential targets for hackers. If you do choose a software wallet, we recommend opting for ones that have proven themselves in the market over several years.
